Well, why not? It's Super Bowl week, after all, and we would be remiss if we didn't do something to mention next Sunday's little event. So, we went looking....
...and found this article in BleacherReport.com: the 7 Ugliest Tattoos In The NFL.
Whether or not you agree, it's definitely worth the time to watch the slide show.
So...are these really the ugliest tattoos in the NFL? You tell us....

Pinkberry Founder beat a man...because of his tattoo!
From today's LA Times: "Pinkberry co-founder Young Lee pleaded not guilty Monday to felony assault for allegedly beating a homeless man with a tire iron over a sexually explicit tattoo."
Apparently, the homeless guy was changing shirts on the side of the road while Lee was driving by, Lee saw the tattoo and was offended by it. Then (allegedly), Lee proceeded to beat the guy with a tire iron.
We haven't been able to find a picture of the tattoo yet; if any of you out there have seen it, please help us out! We can't wait to post it. And, just how radical was it, anyway; to merit a beat-down with a tire iron?
Somehow, we don't see any more credit card commercials in Mr. Lee's immediate future.

A Great Tattoo Resource
The House of Libido isn't just about hot chicks with tattoos and piercings, but about the complete Alternative Lifestyle (what the Lord of the House calls "Alternativity") that tattooing and piercing represent. So, it's only natural that we should share our good finds with our readers.
One such link that we find ourselves going to regularly is OffBeatInk.com It's as good a place to start as any if you're just entering the world of ink and metal, and even the old hands can find something useful here.
Literally, there's too much on this excellent site to describe in a short blog; the best thing is just to click on the above link and enjoy yourself.
We especially recommend that you check out the article on Famout Works of Art As Tattoos, which provides a good rationale for choosing one of the Great Masters' works to use on your own personal canvas (although we could wish for more illustrations in the post, but that's a minor quibble). Also, Barbie Visits The Tattoo Parlour is a must read...and will make you re-think all those old Barbie dolls you or your sister collected!

Take two caps and call me in the morning
Here at the House of Libido we see a number of items cross our desks every day, and some are just too good not to post. This latest piece, with the catchy title of Active Agent in 'Magic Mushrooms' May Be Therapeutic caught our eye and just would not let go.
Apparently, giving people psilocybin directly into a vein decreases blood flow in certain 'connector hubs' in the brain, which researchers think may allow information to travel more freely through the brain. This probably explains why people's imaginations become move "vivid and animated and the world is experienced as unusual".
Well, now we know just where in the brain the magic happens. Sadly, it will probably be several years before you can get IV psilocybin on request for things like depression and migraines. Or, like, two days, if you know the right people.....
Thanks to digitalblasphemy.com for the above image; their website is just chock-a-block full of neat and interesting art.

Amber Michaels gets streched
Special thanks to our friends at BigStrechedOnes.com for these stills from their recent photo session with Amber Michaels in the dungeon. These are only a small part of the shoot, since the double dildo action is a bit much for Blogger. Still, there's enough here to let you see just what a hot set of pics these are.
As always, this set can be found at the House of Libido store on Images4Sale, if you'd like to see more.

Pussy Riot...no, really!
From the "we can't make stuff like this up" file: An all-girl punk band in Russia named Pussy Riot staged a brief (well, duh, it's STILL Russia) protest in Moscow against His Excellency El Presidente and Prime Minister for Life Vladimir Putin.
For those of you who follow these things, Mr. Putin was the President of the Russian Federation before becoming the Prime Minister; now he's decided to take his old job back. This would put him back in the Big Chair in the Kremlin for the next, oh, decade or so...long enough to justify the "For Life" title. It's sad, really.
At any rate, the link is above; read it and find out for yourself.
Yeah, they really do call the band "Pussy Riot".

Kudos to Ink Master
And for those of you who missed Ink Master last night on Spike TV, shame on you! Oh, well, that's why Hulu was invented.
What impressed me about last night's show was not the skill of the contestants (which, overall, was not terribly impressive). No, what impressed me was the strong concern for the health and safety of the human canvases that were used. One volunteer was dropped because of a flare of his psoriasis, which the judges felt (correctly) would increase the volunteer's pain and healing time, as well as possibly causing scarring that would deface his tattoo. Another volunteer began having a bad reaction to having his skull tattooed, and the medics were on him in short order.
It's nice to see a show demonstrate such concern for the volunteers, especially since dropping the man with psoriasis meant that one of the judges themselves had to volunteer to go under the needle so that everyone could have a chance to compete. Nope, I'm not telling you which judge added to his ink; you'll just have to see the show for yourself.
Regardless, big kudos to Ink Master. Hopefully, the show will run for several seasons, as it can only generate more good buzz for tattoo culture in general, and rising tattoo artists in particular.
Plus, it's edumakational. ;)

Livia Choice
If you like blonds and blow jobs, with a bit more thrown in just for fun, you'll like the pics that the good people at SexandTattoos.com threw our way. Here's just a sample of our girl Livia showing off her new latex gear, her new glass dildo, and her new boyfriend!
You won't see much from these samples, but trust me, the boyfriend is VERY happy in this shoot!
And, as always, you can find the rest of the photos in the House of Libido store at Images4Sale.com.
Hot, hot, smoking hot!
Gratuitous Angelina Jolie Post
Well, okay, you know I just had to post a pic of Angelina Jolie's ink sooner or later; I'm just doing it sooner so we can accept it and move on.
The significance of the numbers? Try and guess (answers below the photo, don't peek!).
According to RankMyTattoos.com list of the 35 Hottest Female Celebrity Tattoos, Ms. Jolie opted not to have the countries of origin of her three adopted children named on her skin. The numbers you see in the lower right corner are the coordinates of her children's birthplaces.
So, rather than Cambodia, Ethiopia and Vietnam we get the numbers to plug into our GPS devices to find out about Maddox, Zahara and Pax. But of course, you already knew that, didn't you?
Didn't you?
And you thought lasers were bad...?
In 54 A.D., Scribonius Largus--physician to the Roman Emperor Claudius--recommended the use of cantherides to cause blistering and scarring as a method of tattoo removal.
Fortunately, we've come a long way since then.

Did You Know...?
...that the word TATTOO was first described by Captain James Cook in 1769, after the tapping sound made by the tattoo needle on the skin. In the native tongue of the Polynesians Capt. Cook observed, the sound of the needle is known as tatau or simply tatu.
So, now you know!
Thanks to The Rock for showing us his ink.
